About Selah Fellowship

Selah Fellowship is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Danbury, CT — dedicated to creating sacred spaces of rest, reflection, and restoration for individuals, families, and communities.

We began as small “pop-up” therapeutic camp experiences and have grown into a multi-program organization offering youth camps, adult retreats, community gatherings, and reentry support for young people.

“Selah” is an ancient Hebrew word found throughout the Psalms — most commonly understood as an invitation to pause, breathe, and reflect. In a fast-moving world, Selah Fellowship exists to protect that space.

When you take a moment to pause… you make room to grow.

Selah Fellowship is nondenominational and faith-informed — rooted in spiritual values of healing, community, and purpose, but welcoming to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Our programs are open to everyone regardless of faith tradition.

The 8P Framework is the foundation of everything we do at Selah Fellowship — eight principles that shape how we live, love, and build strong families and communities:

  • Presence — the gateway to awareness
  • Promote — lifting others and championing good
  • Protect — guarding the well-being of those in our care
  • Profess — speaking truth and purpose over our lives
  • Probity — living with integrity and moral courage
  • Prioritize — choosing what matters most
  • Provide — meeting needs practically and spiritually
  • Planted — rooted in love and purpose

Selah Fellowship is based in Danbury, Connecticut. Our programs and events serve the greater Danbury area and surrounding communities. Contact us at info@selahfellowship.org or (203) 912-1643 for location-specific details.

Our Programs

Selah Fellowship currently offers four core programs:

  • Kamp Selah — Therapeutic youth camp for ages 7–17
  • Kafé Selah — Sunday afternoon community coffee and gathering
  • Selah-Way — Visionary retreat experiences for adults, couples, families, singles, and seniors
  • Selah Well — Youth reentry support and family reunification programs

Our programs are open to everyone — regardless of background, faith, income, or circumstance. Selah Fellowship is committed to making healing accessible to all. Specific age requirements apply to Kamp Selah (ages 7–17). Contact us if you have questions about eligibility for any program.

Many of our community programs — including Kafé Selah gatherings and community events — are completely free. Kamp Selah and Selah-Way retreats may have associated costs, with scholarships and sliding scale options available. We never want cost to be a barrier to healing. Contact us to discuss financial assistance.

Kamp Selah

Kamp Selah serves youth ages 7–17. Our programs are tailored to different developmental stages — younger campers and teens have age-appropriate experiences designed to meet them where they are.

Kamp Selah blends outdoor adventure with creative expression and emotional wellness. Activities include nature exploration, hiking, art, music, journaling, team building, and guided group circles using CBT-informed approaches.

Every activity is intentional and designed to help campers build confidence, develop identity, and discover their strengths in a safe, supportive environment.

Registration for Kamp Selah opens seasonally. Visit our Contact page to express interest and be added to our notification list. We’ll reach out as soon as registration opens with dates, pricing, and availability.

We maintain a 5:1 camper-to-counselor ratio — ensuring every child receives individualized attention, support, and care throughout their Kamp Selah experience.

Kafé Selah

Kafé Selah is our Sunday afternoon community gathering — coffee, tea, conversation, poetry, and quiet reflection. Think of it as an old-fashioned Sunday afternoon table where everyone is welcome, no agenda required.

It is a ministry of presence — a space for community healing, one cup at a time.

Kafé Selah meets on Sunday afternoons in Danbury, CT. Contact us at info@selahfellowship.org or follow us on social media for current meeting times and location details.

Yes! Kafé Selah offers rental space for small or start-up churches and congregations seeking a warm, welcoming home. Contact us to discuss availability and arrangements.

Selah-Way

Selah-Way offers five transformative retreat experiences:

  • Adult Healing Retreats — rest, renewal, and emotional restoration
  • Couples Counseling Intensives — two weeks of deep healing work
  • Singles Retreats — self-love, spiritual clarity, and relationship readiness
  • Senior Retreats — connection, creativity, and renewed purpose
  • Family Building Retreats — healing and unity for the whole family

Selah-Way is currently in its foundational phase — we are dreaming, designing, and building from the ground up. Our “Build the Dream” fundraising campaign is helping secure the land and resources needed to bring Selah-Way to life.

To be notified when retreats open, join our mailing list or follow us on social media.

You can support Selah-Way by donating to our “Build the Dream” campaign — our goal is to raise $25,000 by Summer 2026 to secure permanent land for our retreat center. Every dollar brings this vision closer to reality. Learn more and donate here.

Selah Well

Selah Well is our youth reentry program — dedicated to young people navigating reentry after incarceration, youth on probation, and the families who love them. Our programs address Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS) and support healing, family reunification, and successful reintegration into the community.

Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS) refers to a set of symptoms and behaviors that can develop as a result of incarceration — including hypervigilance, emotional numbing, institutionalized thinking, suspicion of others, and difficulty reintegrating socially.

What helped a young person survive inside can become a barrier on the outside. Selah Well helps youth and their families understand these patterns and transform them into strengths.

Selah Well serves youth on probation, young people recently released from incarceration, and their families. Programs are also available for schools, community organizations, and professionals seeking PICS education and awareness training. Contact us to learn more.

Yes — Selah Well includes guaranteed job placement opportunities and practical life skills training to help young returning citizens build economic stability and independence as part of our Reemergence Initiative.
